F.A.O Parents/Carers of our 'Burnside Butterflies' due to start P1 in August 2021:-

We have planned some time for your child to come along for a brief visit on Thursday 17th June. You should receive a letter detailing your child's time to visit, later this week. One adult can visit with each child and visits will take place in small groups outside in our P1 playground. We hope your child will enjoy the opportunity to meet some of their classmates and their teacher, as well as collect their special transition bag. This will also be an opportunity to provide you with some information about starting school. We look forward to seeing you on 17th June!

P1 Transition (Added 16.05.21)
Parents/Carers of P1 pupils joining us in August 2021 - please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are currently unable to organise physical visits within the school building unfortunately. Instead, we plan to organise brief visits for small groups of children (with 1 adult each) within our outdoor playground space. We will be in touch very soon with a date and time and look forward to seeing you! We will also send you details of our 'Burnside Butterflies' online classroom, set up just for new P.1 pupils and their parents.

F.A.O parents/carers of children who have recently had places confirmed via placing request, Mrs. McGarvey will be in touch this week with a welcome call. This will be an opportunity for parents to highlight any particular friends starting Burnside PS at the same time in August, ask any questions or highlight any concerns. Mrs. McGarvey is looking forward to catching up with you all!
